Raggle
Taggle Gypsies
Three gypsies stood at the castle gate
They sang so high, they sang so low
The lady sat in her bower late
And her heart, it melted away as snow
They sang so sweet they sang so shrill
Faster tears began to flow
She laid down her silken silken gown
All her rings and all her show
And she's pulled off her high heeled shoes
Made of spanish leather O
She's out in the street with her bare bare little feet
All in the wind and weather O
Go saddle for me my milk white steed
Go and fetch my pony O
That I may ride and seek my bride
Who's away with raggle taggle gypsies o
And he rode high and he rode low
He rode through woods and copses too
Until he came to an open open field
And there he spied his lady O
What makes you leave your house and land
What makes you leave your treasures O
What makes you leave your newly wedded lord
For to ride with raggle taggle gypies O
Oh what care I for my house and land
What care I for my treasures O
What care I for my newly wedded lord
I'm away with raggle taggle gypsies o
Last night you slept on a goose feather bed
With the sheets turned down sae bravely o
Tonight you'll sleep in a cold and open field
All alone with raggle taggle gypsies O
And what care I for your goose feather bed
With the sheets turend down sae bravely O
Tonight I'll sleep in a free and open field
All alone with raggle taggle gypsies O
Three gypsies stood at the castle gate
They sang so high, they sang so low
The lady sat in her bower late
And her heart, it melted away as snow
